What If Your Bank Account Has Become Frozen Four Years Ago?

Can my credit report “turn” good(or not bad) if all of my debts were from more than 7 years ago? But in December 2004, my accounts were frozen in order to try to collect money from me. I have been a hard worker but I have never been able to keep a job for more than a year. I have never been able to make enough money to survive on my own, let alone be able to pay off old bills. I see on here about the SOL, so I know about that. But should I have a (somewhat) clean credit report now? I have not ordered my free three credit reports yet.

If your bank account was frozen, a creditor had a judgment. Those are good for 10 years and can be renewed. They can sit and wait till you have a job or more money in the bank until they are paid in full.
Get copies of your credit reports from all three credit bureaus (AnnualCreditReport.com) and see what it shows.
Negatives should fall off your credit report in 7 years, but the judgment stays for 10+. Don’t confuse the statute of limitations (SOL) — the timeframe creditors can take you to court, with the reporting period. They are two separate things and have different rules. In either case, collectors can continue to try and collect your old debts right to your grave.
Then you need to thaw it by leaving it out overnight.
