Adam Lambert: too âgayâ for America?
American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has managed to upstage Madonna and upset America with his latest performance â including a gay kiss and some crotch-caressing hanky-panky. During his three minute appearance at the American Music Awards this week Lambert managed simulating oral sex with a male dancer and a full on lip lock with his (male) keyboardist. A victory for gay visibility? – or just a tacky gay stereotype? The juryâs out. Regardless, the performance has racked up enormous media interest following 1, 500 complaints from viewers. It was the singerâs first post idol live performance to promote the release of his debut album âFor Your Entertainmentâ â presales of which has guaranteed the number one spot for Lambert this week. Controversy followed the 27 year old star the morning after the show when a scheduled follow-up appearance on Good Morning America was subsequently cancelled. âGiven his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning. â Producers said. The cancellation annoyed fans and gay activists who claim the ABC network had no problem airing Madonnaâs 2003 VMA performance which featured a three-way kiss with Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. In an interview with CNN Lambert claimed the sexual content had not been rehearsed and occurred in the heat of the moment. However he feels thereâs a double standard within the entertainment industry. “Women performers have been pushing the envelope sexually for the past 20 years and all of a sudden a male does it and everybody goes, ‘Oh, we can’t show that on TV’. To me that’s a form of discrimination and it’s a double standard, and that’s too bad. ” For weekly gay news, chat and soundbites visit www. mand8. com Links for this story: http://music-mix. ew. com/2009/11/24/adam-lamber-good-morning-america-canceled/

After you have decided what you wanted to do you must look for the places where you can find the best tickets for the lowest prices. Going to the venues can be a good solution. Usually it is best to research for other ticket brokers’ price for the same tickets as yours and make sure that you are in the same line. You would not want the competition to ruin your prospects of getting rich. As you can see, research makes the difference between a good ticket broker and a less successful one. If you want to make profit out of this business you must be informed.
How to Make Money from Selling Concert Tickets
If you are a fan of a band or like any kind of music you are aware of the amount of money which is invested in concerts. What you do not know is that not only the artist and their staff have a lot to earn from concerts, but normal people can also take their share. Even if you find it hard to believe, you can also take advantage of a certain concert or even from your area and make some good money. If you are interested in how you can do this, read on! When a big band or famous artist comes for a concert the tickets to that event are sold in a matter of minutes. If you have the necessary information you can be one of those lucky people who can get tickets. And when you got the chance do not buy only one or two tickets, buy as many you think you can sell. Where can you buy the tickets from? Well, from the venue of the event or from the internet, attending the presale (in which case you need a password which can be found on the internet, too) or visiting Ticketmaster. Do not just buy what tickets you come across. Even though for certain concerts all tickets will be sold out, you can get a higher price for better seats. If the two sources have run out of tickets you can also go on eBay, Stubhub or Craiglist for tickets, but the prices will be higher and the chances of finding a good deal are reduced. If you got lucky this time and managed to find some tickets to the hottest concert of the year you should get them on the market as soon as possible. Fans will want to make sure they have a good seat at the concert and they will start to look earlier for tickets, so the sooner you make them an offer, the more chances you have to sell you tickets profitably. EBay, Stubhub, Craiglist and even fan-club sites are the best places to list your tickets on. If you know how to advertise your tickets you may get more that 50% profit for one ticket. A concert is a source of merriment for both fans and ticket brokers, so why wouldn’t you take advantage of the situation.
