American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has managed to upstage Madonna and upset America with his latest performance – including a gay kiss and some crotch-caressing hanky-panky. During his three minute appearance at the American Music Awards this week Lambert managed simulating oral sex with a male dancer and a full on lip lock with his (male) keyboardist. A victory for gay visibility? – or just a tacky gay stereotype? The jury’s out. Regardless, the performance has racked up enormous media interest following 1, 500 complaints from viewers. It was the singer’s first post idol live performance to promote the release of his debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’ – presales of which has guaranteed the number one spot for Lambert this week. Controversy followed the 27 year old star the morning after the show when a scheduled follow-up appearance on Good Morning America was subsequently cancelled. “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning. ” Producers said. The cancellation annoyed fans and gay activists who claim the ABC network had no problem airing Madonna’s 2003 VMA performance which featured a three-way kiss with Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. In an interview with CNN Lambert claimed the sexual content had not been rehearsed and occurred in the heat of the moment. However he feels there’s a double standard within the entertainment industry. “Women performers have been pushing the envelope sexually for the past 20 years and all of a sudden a male does it and everybody goes, ‘Oh, we can’t show that on TV’. Quick question for all you concertgoers out there; how many times have you had to go through a ticket broker to get good seats to a concert or show? Chances are you have used a concert ticket broker more than once, and the reason for this was probably because you were unable to obtain good seats when the tickets first went on sale. In order to get the seats you wanted, you had to find somebody with the tickets and you probably paid almost twice as much as they cost! I’m going to be honest here. . . You are getting ripped off! How do you get the good seats these concert ticket brokers charge you double for? By buying them where and when they do! What you probably don’t know is that most concert ticket brokers get the great seats that they are charging you double for before they even go on sale to the public. That’s right, most concerts and events have presales, which typically occur online a few days before the tickets go on sale to the general public. However, in order to purchase these presale tickets you will need a presale password. Don’t worry though; these can be obtained online for a few dollars or even free! Once you have the presale password for the concert or show that you want good seats to, the process is simple. You simply log onto the website where the presale is taking place, enter the presale password into the space that is provided, search for your tickets and buy them before they even go on sale to the public! Tip: In order to ensure that you are getting the best seats available, open two browsers (ex: Firefox and Internet Explorer), perform two searches, and get the best seats! Congratulations! This week’s biggest onsale kicks off the holiday season early with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, who are always a big seasonal hit. Also new this week is Jay-Z, who will make over 20 shows available for what’s sure to be one of the hottest tours of the fall. In sports, many NHL team schedules go onsale in the next few days including the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Anaheim Ducks. Other good events to keep an eye out for are Blink-182 in California, Dane Cook in Boston, and AC/DC in Philadelphia.

American Idol was created by the Simon Cowell and Simon Jones, since American Idol has been on tv it has reached a level of popularity which is unmatched by even the Super bowl. Simon Cowell has since produced American Inventor and the latest television talent competition, America’s Got Talent.

American idol concert tickets may seem unattainable as being a contestant on the show, however this is an illusion, all it requires is keeping an ear out and simple planning. The people who tune in to watch ‘American Idol’ are young, since the major stats how this the producers don’t want older contestants, since this would not be interesting to a younger viewer. Although the judges provide feedback to the contestants on ways to improve their performance, and each contestant works with a coach throughout the week to prepare the song they will sing that week on the ‘American Idol’ broadcast, the final decision on who stays and who goes lies with the voters. Each contestant needs two out of three votes, and if the vote is in the contestant’s favor, he or she gets the famous yellow ticket and is sent to Hollywood for a week of exhausting performances and tough judging. If the contestants impress either or both of these two men, the contestant is then able to reach the highest stage of judging — meeting Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.  Read more...
