What Does “bcs” Stand For In Bcs Bowl?
The BCS National Championship Game or BCS title game is the final bowl game of the annual Bowl Championship Series and is intended by Series organizers to determine the NCAA Division I-A national football championship. The game was first played at the conclusion of the 1998 College Football season after the Big Ten and Pac 10 conferences and the Rose Bowl Game joined the members of the former “Bowl Alliance” to form the Bowl Championship Series. The Bowl Alliance and its predecessor, the Bowl Coalition, featured championship games from 1992 through 1997.

Should Bcs Stand For Bull Crap System?
As of right now (11/25/06) 12:32 AM EST this is how the BCS Standings look:
1. Ohio State
2. Michigan
3. USC
4. Florida
5. Notre Dame
My question is this. Why in the world is USC ranked 3rd in the BCS? And techincally they are ahead of Michigan in 2 of 3 polls that average in their BCS avg. USC looses to Oregon State, a non ranked conference opponent. Im glad Michigan is #2 because a Ohio State/Michigan rematch would be great. But why isnt Notre Dame or Florida higher up than USC? Florida lost to Auburn who was a highly ranked team at the time. Notre Dame only lost to Michigan who is the #2 team in the nation. Does anyone else feel there is a problem with the BCS? Ive heard the constant talk about an 8 team tournament, but would that really solve it and find a true national champion?
Does Bcs Stand For “bonehead Coaches From The South?
By voting Florida ahead of Michigan after earlier voting USC ahead of michigan I really have to wonder? The SEC IS NOT all that! Put an SEC team in the hard nose Big Ten and they’ll get beat up over the course of a season. . . . I’ll admit the SEC is very good but not all that good! The Press and southern coaches poisoned the BCS title game by sticking an good Florida team in there ahead of a great and more deserving Michigan team. . . and folks. . . I’m not a michigan fan. . . I was just hoping for a great title game like last years USC VS Texas thriller. Instead. . . . I’ll be watching seinfeld reruns by halftime as Ohio State pounds on Florida. . . . Hey Timmy Teblow. . . . . You better take out a hefty health insurance policy. . . you certainly won’t be running all over Ohio State. . . . Chris Leak. . . . he’ll throw 5 interceptions and be sacked 9 times!

Spiritual Awakening at Sarnath
The other day, I went to Varanasi to visit its many temples and ghats. When the time came to return back, someone suggested that I visit the nearby Sarnath. Since I had a day to spare, I decided to go by their advice. I took a taxi and reached Sarnath, which is located just 13 km away from Varanasi, in just half an hour. Sarnath, situated near Varanasi in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is one of the four main Buddhist pilgrimage destinations of India. Aso called Isipatana and/or Mrigadava, it was at Sarnath that Lord Buddha gave his first sermon and gave teachings from Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta. It was at Sarnath that Buddha spent his first rainy season after receiving enlightenment at Bodh Gaya. It was at here that the Buddhist Sangha first came into existence. The Buddhist ruins, museum, temple, and serene and calm atmosphere of Sarnath attract the Buddhists and the general travellers to the place in great numbers. When the famous Chinese traveller Hiuen Tsang had visited Sarnath, he had found about 1500 monks studying the Hinayana form of Buddhism there. Even though Sarnath was vandalized by the Turkish Muslims in the 12th century AD, it managed to retain much of its glory and significance. Sarnath is actually a small village with the much famous Deer Park where Buddha is believed to have delivered his first sermon. In the Deer Park at Sarnath, the magnificent Dhamekh Stupa, built by the Buddhist Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC, stands majestically. Other Buddhist structures, built between the 3rd century BC and 11th century AD, also exist in the park. If you are spiritually inclined and revel in serene and calm environments, then Sarnath would certainly intrigue you. The place may not be as famous as Varanasi but it certainly has its own importance and place in the hearts of those inspired by religion and spiritualism.
