Why are the powerhouse college football teams afraid to play each other in nonconference games?
It gets me how teams like Michigan will play a MAC team, a Div. 2 opponent, and then how can you accurately rank that team in comparison to the teams they are ranked with that they don’t play? Does this make the BCS legitmate, and does this prepare the major teams well enough for the conference schedule and give them a good voice in determing what bowl there in? Not only do we need a playoff system, but we need the dominate teams to build a more competitive schedule. Instead of Utah, Miami(OH), and Notre Dame to play which are all farces, how about they play LSU, Oklahoma, and USC, and see where they really stand. And this goes for Ohio State, and the teams I mentioned they should play to follow suit also.
