No Holiday for Oklahoma State-Oregon takes the Holiday Bowl 2008

No Holiday for Oklahoma State in the Holiday Bowl. Oregon struggled through the first two quarters and started fast in the third quarter. Oregon’s defense applied steady pressure on OSU’s Mr. Robinson for the second half of the game. 1 was not the luckiest number for super star wide receiver Dez Bryant as he went down with a knee injury. Oregon’s Jeremiah Masoli ran over the Cowboys defense and LeGarrette Blount jumped over them. Oregon finished 10-3 for the season and help the PAC-10 win all 5 of their Bowl games.

Husker Flashback – 1995 – Fiesta Bowl predictions and… Grass

A few clips of predictions and analysis from “experts”. Most of whom really outdid themselves for the 1995 Fiesta Bowl / National Championship. Vegas favored Nebraska by 3 but seemingly every tv pundit picked Florida to win. Even Sega Genesis foresaw a Gator victory. // At the opening of the video are two analysts from the now extinct regional network Prime Sports (1983-1997). Coaches Bobby Bowden and Bill Curry also make short appearances. // Probably the most memorable prediction came from Lee Corso, who stated that the playing surface would be the “determining factor” in a Gator victory. Notre Dame head coach Lou Holtz made the same brilliant prediction. Husker C Aaron Graham and Gator RB Elija Williams offered their views on the subject. // The only expert in this video opting for the Huskers was Danny Sheridan of CNN’s morning College Football show (which shared a time slot with ESPN’s Gameday). A couple non-expert hosts (such as ESPN’s Chris Fowler) also picked the Huskers.
